DIY dual action foot throttle
Been looking without success a way to convert a single action foot throttle to a dual action foot throttle, anyone has any idea how to do it or maybe someone has a complete unit for sale?
Thanks for looking.

Yes, I've been trying to get one for almost 3 weeks, he said he built one for me, last week I asked for an update and he told me.ot was in the oven for powder coating and that it was going to ship it friday, asked for another update yesterday and he said it was in their local post office awaiting for payment. I've been asking him for a PayPal invoice all this time and he never sends me one and never say anything about it. I asked him yesterday if there was any problem as he never send me an invoice for it, told him again to send me the invoice and he just gave me a thumbs up and haven't heard from him. I feel like I wasted 3 weeks for nothing. He even asked for my addr, color and application.
Asked him again this morning for an update and nothing.

Would you enlighten me, What is a dual action pedal? My current Hot Foot has a safety loop that goes over the top of my foot that would allow me to retract the throttle in the event of spring failure, is this the dual action you speak of? Thank You.

I have a "dual-action" foot throttle... it sucks. The extra spring & cable make the hand throttle hard to move and it constantly creeps back to idle if you don't hold onto it. It takes a lot of pressure to keep the hand throttle over 1/2 throttle, but the foot throttle part works fine.

I had a Land and Sea dual action pedal in my Talon and was scared of it. It was not smooth and stuck a couple of times. Replaced it with a Hot Foot.

I'm glad I asked, is there an easy way that I can switch the cable linkage without having to undo at the engine, like a quick disconnect or something so I can switch manually between the hot foot and the hand throttle instead of having a dual action?
Maybe that would be a better set up, going to give it some thoughts.
Thanks for your input.

I have a Land&Sea one in the BAJA, yes it makes the hand throttle a bit stiffer. the only time I use the hand throttle is for cruising long distances while site seeing or pulling a water skier.
