I have the land and sea one that uses two cables that works as a throttle and uses the gear shifter to act like a cruise control.

I only have the foot throttle, no cables

That is fine as most likely I will have to get the proper length for a 15' boat. This is my first boat that I'll try to make it go faster and since I'm novice I'll like to be able to grab the wheel at higher speeds. As long as it has all the necessary hardware in fine.
