One point many are missing is how it's being made, like no other vehicle but more like a air plane with it's Exoskeleton design rather body on frame like other pickups, Yes everything Elon does is unique like landing rocket boosters on barges, you have to give him credit he is the what IF guy, way outside the box.
If your utility is producing it's electric from coal shame on them, why America abandoned nuclear power is belond me

Shoreham nuclear power plant was constructed 6 billion dollars with all renovations then shut down because of the noise from the Three mile island accident, like we could not do better with improved design and Human error was a big factor

75% of Frances electricity come from Nuclear

Exoskeleton, you mean unibody? Unique just like Avalanche and Ridgeline.

No the 3 mm 301 30 x cold rolled stainless steel acts as the frame, of course the battery pack is very strong to protect it from damage in accidents.
Not only is it super hard it's 3 x as thick as normal, it's also a reason for straight triangle design, from what I read they even had to score the back side to get the slight bend at the top of the panel, because stamping it is nearly impractical? so they say, please read the article. .

Ok so the exoskeleton/unibody isn’t the innovation; using 1/8” thick sheet metal is? Oh, and I’m not so sure a lithium battery pack is something to brag about for crash protection. Ever seen one of those explode?

Any unibody's you know tow 14,000 lb?

Or carry 3,500 lb in the back?

Yeah in south florida a kid drove into a bridge base at over 100 mph, a NASCAR car would fail, burst into flames.

Stop trying to make sense of it .. I've got a shear, box and pan break, 8' straight brake, plate, Beverly shear, shrinker, stretcher, planishing hammer, a few Garland hammers+ bucks, etc. Looks like they gotz half the tooling I do... or they have more, just clueless on how to use it ...
Dave S and I could do a better job at 3am than they did on that POS ...

    Back on point ...

They have over 250,000 orders like two years worth and production is far into the future, don't believe your opinion matters. I placed my order as soon as he said they were taking orders, you can tell by my posts I really don't care what others think, If I did I guess I would have tattoos, earings, the latest hair cut etc never really cared about others acceptance trying to fit in.
