Return fuel line from regulator
on a factory aluminum fuel tank. Connecting a return fuel line from the regulator to the tank without factory return fittings. I was thinking of using a T into the vent of the tank. Not sure any ideas? Thanks

If possible it’s a good idea to drop a line/ hose down inside tank near bottom so that fuel enters below fuel level to cut down on aeration and keep fuel cooler. They make AN pass through fittings for fuel tanks that you can hook hoses to both ends of fitting using AN style fittings. This is only possible if you can gain access inside of tank through sending unit hole or something, a lot of marine style sender holes are too small. If it’s impossible to install pass through fitting, using vent may prevent adequate venting, maybe try returning to filler neck hose?

It is also possible to run the return line into a filter housing such as a water fuel separator with an open port.
