We are working with the guys from Venom Performance boats, as they are now called, on a few new rigs. The grey boat will be more of a test pilot for us. Planning to start out with a couple of the mid-level four stroke platforms as of right now. Additional boats coming down the pipeline will be on the retail market as they come in. Looking forward to seeing how we can make a few of these run with new technology. Build quality is looking great so far from what we have seen and there are some cool projects in the mix for the future.

The four stroke weight shouldn't be overwhelming as far as I'm concerned. Transom and structure of the boat will not have a problem handling the weight; center of gravity will be new territory. Anyone with experience with the Venom hull knows what it will do with a 2-stroke; there isn't any sense trying to reinvent the wheel there. We are probably a couple weeks away from being 100% melted down on the water in our parts; should have more to report then.

Glad to see these are still being built, they're beautiful and fast AF boats. Will anything be done differently to the bottoms to adapt to the heavier motors? Also, please resurrect the voyager/ Vegas molds. Two great designs that never really got a fair shot.

John, a large majority of the lines on the new Venom have seen some kind of change from the old model. There have been quite a few changes to the front half of the hull, the bow has seen some cosmetic changes, the rear deck has been raised, and more changes may come up in the future as we get some experience with the hull. As for the Voyager, Vegas, there may be something comparable in years to come from Venom Performance Boats. Denny played a part in designing/tooling the original Venom and has a few other models in his wing that I think he'd like to develop. Time will tell.

Sounds awesome! Seems almost biblical that the power tour gang revives the brand... And on the third day, they slammed the throttle.
