150 Pro XS is cool. I hope you post the speeds. Will you add a nose cone?

150xs comes factory with a lwp. I too am very curious to see how well it runs with the 150 pro xs and with what prop/s. A bit of boost on that motor might be the ticket for us stream guys. I was worried about the weight on my vking but you guys seem to have planned for this with the new molds. It would be great to see some vids and pics of it in the water. My hat goes off to you guys, this lane is empty and your filling it with pure excitement!

For only 20 lbs more you can go up to the V6 175s, also has the pickups on the front of the case and a better gear ratio for speed at 1.85 versus the 2.08 on the 150.

Nosecone is currently in process on the stock case. Was hoping to get things whole before we went crazy on the net, but here we are. Should have somewhat safe, open water in our parts in the weeks to come.

The goal is low 80's with the 150 Pro XS; Maybe our friends at Mercury can come up with some blades for us to spin .

The next boat we are expecting in April will have a 225L on it. I know there has been discussion of swapping gears on the 150 case to gear the motor down a little. I want to get some run time on the 2.08 before I'm convinced the motor can handle a gear change.

You might want to look at Wavetowave’s articles about a 150 4 stroke on a Grandsport.

Pretty good info on their write up. That article was one of the inspirations for rigging up the 150 on our first boat. Seems to be territory that needs some more attention.

Cool, you have seen the Wave stuff. I chased speed with a lightly modified 150 two stroke on my SS2000 for a while. it’s still interesting to see how fast the smaller motors can go.

I’ve seen mid 70’s in a Venom with a 150 Pro Max, no LWP, crappy prop loaded with two fat guys.

You can make these small boats run with the new 4 strokes, but it does take a totally different setup and some patience

Do you have the 175 set up for speed or acceleration?
