    Chopper propeller question

I have a guy that is selling me a 14 1/2 x 26 chopper propeller part number 48 13370 a62 and since I'm not an expert by any means I would like to know if this could be a good starter propeller. The plan is to use it in a 1996 mercury 115hp next summer.

What would be a good price for it, the leading edge needs to be smoothed out a bit.

    Thanks for any input.

I don't think you can run 14/5" diameter on your 115 - it is 15 spline, so that part is OK. Of course you could have the diamter reduced when you have the leading edge smoothed. What kind of boat? My usual advise is to start with a used Trophy. Even pitch.

They fit, barely. You'll have to change the trim tab. Used to run a v6 chopper on my 100 i-4.

Laser is a good choice if the height is not too high. Even pitch for the inline 4?

I doubt there is a gear case for the I4 Mercury that would allow a 115hp engine to be able to push a 26 ft Wellcraft with any 26 inch propeller...<object id="__symantecPKIClientMessenger" data-supports-flavor-configuration="true" data-extension-version="1.0.1" style="display: none;"></object>__PRESENT
