In spite of one hell of a PR opportunity they seem hell bent in letting others take over the marine business. The engine Sea Way has is not runnable as is and would take a hell of a lot of custom work to make it go; if even then.
    John,

Bob Witt also passed a few years back, sorry to say.

All this really good Rotary info is exactly why it would be great if you and other OMC persons involved back in the 60's, 70's and 80's decided to make OFF 2020 a truly ALL WELCOMED event.

On another note, I guess I am one of the lucky ones that got to see and hear a rotary run. Jimbo brought one to Peterborough, Ontario and did a few exhibition passes.

I went to the last one at Cadillac's 2010 I believe. Felt like I farted in church. I was the ONLY OMC guy there amongst a crowd of Merc guys. Other than a few discussions with the old fart Jackie about rotaries I felt alone at sea.

I races the Paris 6 hours with the two rotaries 1974 and that was a great experience. I never forget the speed and sound.

Aw, Sh-t Johnno——- and there was me thinking we kissed and made up ? Remember you only came down to florida to “punch my bloody lights out, ” I believe that was the term used before we actually met !
Im really sorry you felt isolated Johnno——- that was the last thing I would have wished on anyone coming to an OFF meeting for the first time—- it’s original purpose in life was to make friends— sides should not come into it—— we were there at the most wonderful moment in time in the history of boat racing—— everything of importance happened in that great period we were around!
Ive done my last off—— don’t have the stomach for it any more——- it saddens more than gladdens these days,
