Removing the little stop limiting thing on the stator/Throttle plate should aloud me to get the same throttle/RPM in rev as in Fwd. My .10 cents

You don’t have a thrust bearing that absorbs the forward thrust when running in reverse. We have all either tried it, using your rationale, or know someone who has. If you still don’t believe us then find a left hand prop (good luck) and go for it. Let us know how that turns out.

Damn it where's the pic posted recently of prop on backwards..
    But anyway
I don't think your going fast enough to worry about both being right hand....a little steering torque is better than trashing a lower unit...and not going to surface it so won't crab
Only time I've seen it done they locked/welded(not really sure) it in gear so was started in gear no neutral etc.
And even then not sure they lasted

Oh right, i'm new and learning, will take you'all advice.
    - (If) I mount both 35's, I will have to rig some kind of wide Jack plate, preferably 1/2 Alum, to either independently or lift both at same time. I have a pair of cobra Hydro cyl but only one pump w relays, any ideas?

Do a search on here just had a thread on setting up twins like that..1/2 plate and one pump
Or can use a single switch if pumps/plates travel at same speed or close..just need to make a harnesses with one way diodes..
I've had mine setup on single switch..have uflex paddles( and 3 different places too)
Just have to rarely put them all the way up or down to make sure they are level...working on indicators (cause I'm to broke to buy them lol)

I see you got some trim tabs on both sides, How hight from the bottom edge you place them? Also, can they be fix or have to be on some king of cyl/actuators?

Mine are mounted an inch up from bottom..
You can get them in fixed (not alot if help if you need to adjust)
Smart tabs "SMART TABS adjust automatically according to overall boat weight. The five-hole adjustment built into each trim plate can be customized to produce more stern lift if needed. To do this, increase the lift pressure by moving the actuators away from the transom to a higher number on the plates."

    hydraulic trim tabs ...
    And also electric trim tabs..

I was taking them to the river for testing, one a the time. I got to drive 30 min to closest marina in order to test run my motors, it sucks.

I don't trust the bucket or water hose, I had plenty of motors that ran better than a new one in it and once I put it on the river on a 100 pound Jon, i couldn't even get to 10mph... and no, I don't weigh 600lb...lol

Thanks for all the tips you given. I'm just trying to trick one or two of my 35's so i can hang with the guys running 40-90's. I don't see anyone with trick-out small outboards where i am. Just once a month, the guys with the big guns come out to play on the James River, from Richmond to Norfolk

Your boat looks V shape. Mine is kind off flat in the rear from side to side. You think i could still benefit from trim tabs?

    Yes it's a 1984 25' checkmate convincor 24* deadrise
Notched transom and a slight vee pad..makes running in big/ruff water more comfortable..

Yes you would benefit from tabs even with a flatter bottom boat...if you need them
Do the motors have power trim?

BUT I would get motors mounted and setup and see where your at..
