When you are improvising a bit always best to run a V blade like you have. It gives you a fighting chance when the snow gets a little deeper with a zero turn.

You don't need to rub it in! Two years ago I ran the boat down to New York harbor on the day before Christmas.

This year is supposed to be a heavy snow year up here. We shall see

Was planning on welding the 2" arms directly to the 4" channel -blade but got to thinking if it were all welded solid it would be much more difficult getting the 1/2" pins aligned to go in on the frame. Especially when it gets tweaked a lil bit. So I welded some receiver hitch tubes to the blade and the 2" arms can be removed and it gives me just that very lil bit of slop in the tube to make the frame pin line up much easier

NO! No it's not!!! Don't say it! Last year was beautiful. Never even needed the 4x4 to get up the driveway! Everything melted by the time we woke up the next day.

Smart set-up ....... as there is always a little bend to go around.

Since I have a 2" receiver on the front of the mower I decided that would be a good place to mount the winch for lifting the blade. At 1st I was going to just slide the draw bar in like a regular hitch and have the winch mounted to the end where the ball shank is. But got to lookn and I have lots of room under the mower floor between the deck and floor to mount the winch there BEHIND the mounting tube. So I began cutting the draw bar so the winch cable can feed thru the draw bar and out front of the mower. All this to give it a bit more hidden look and to keep the SUPERWINCH LT 2000 out of the way

I didnt like the receiver tubing sticking that far out of the blade un supported so I ran some 4" channel out from the blade to the tips of the tubing for support. And some primer to prepare for paint

I'm finding your build interesting. Even though we do it a little different up in these parts.

It looks like you're going to keep the cutting deck on all Winter and have the V plow set up as it "quick attach" as needed. Chains on the wheels of the Zero?

Re assembling after paint. And better view of how I mounted the 2000lb winch under the floor plate to keep it out of the way. And ran the controller wires to the battery. It fits good under the floor and the mower deck is all the way UP. I may just leave the winch on there all year long. Because I tend to get stuck sometimes in my front yard ditch. And after all this is a winch made to get unstuck with.
The blade lifts 9" off the ground
