Solas Scorpion 24P with Rubex 19 spline hub kit
Mint 10 /10. Solas Scorpion part#: 9651-151-24, with 19 spline Rubex fat shaft hub kit installed. Ran for 15 minutes. Purchased for a new boat / engine but only turned 6000 rpm at 71 mph (too low). Reduced to $300 with hub. Will sell without a hub kit for $250. A Mercury Flo Torque hub kit will also fit.

Is this still available. I want to run this on 200 mercury with a stock lower. Don't think I need this hub.

Yes I still have it. I can sell it without the 19 spline hub and it will accept either a Mercury Flo-Torque hub or the Solas equivalent.

Doing a ton of research on this prop, thinking this is alittle tall for my hydrostream bowrider carrying a large load. Thinking probably a 22p.

No problem, thanks for checking. To give you some idea, I could turn a 24P Bravo FS to 6200, a 24P Blaster into the rev limiter (6450) and the 24P Scorpion to 6000 rpm, perhaps 6150 rpm if I would have raised the Jackplate higher.

On the same day I turned a stock 26P Bravo 1 to 5800 rpm with 13.4% slip. Then a 24 Bravo FS to 6200 rpm with 8.7% slip and the 24P Scorpion to 6000 rpm with 9.75% slip. A 26P Bravo is really 25.3P and a 24 is really 23.4P. Based on that and on my boat and engine, I turned the 3 blade 24P Scorpion 200 rpm higher than a 4 blade 25.3P (actual pitch) Bravo 1. I think I could have raised the Scorpion a bit higher but I ran all props at the same jack plate height. I also ran a 24P Blaster (almost 25% slip) and a 5 blade 23P Hill Marine the same day. Many people say 2" of pitch stiff for the Scorpion but on my boat it turned 200 rpm higher than than a 25.3 Bravo 1 (advertised 26P) but we all now Bravo props run shy of the stamped pitch. What do your turn the 25P Tempest at? Do you need a bit more or a bit less rpm?

Yes I still have the brand new 24P Scorpion (minus 10 minutes of run time for testing)
