Raising/lowering trailer w bad back
Nothing new.. but didn't buy it just a bolt, cotter pin and few tools...
Did this many years ago on trailers and now with back screwed up I actually use it... Always thought how damn lazy if you can't raise and lower it by hand, you are being a... well
But yes saves my back so..
Is it smart or lazy..lol
All the way in 10 seconds ..one way

That seems like a good idea,or you could buy an electric jack for a R.V. But they cost a couple hundred bucks and you need a good hot line from a battery or a vehicle. On the whole I think your design is fast and easy.

Yea Didn't cost me anything and just need to have the drill and battery and battery only take 15 minutes for full Charge or even 4 minutes is enough to use it..
And wanted it like that so I still had the handle just in case.
Yea The electric ones aren't cheap and don't have a handle.
And only takes 1/2 hour not even that long if I was paying attention and not going back and forth .. lolLETS GO BRANDON.... LETS GO BRANDON

mrichartz, I think you're onto sth here!
if you can design a tongue jack that is powered by 1/2" drive battery operated hand-held device would be an awesome solution, even to those with no back problem
Think about it, the unit can be charged inside the truck while driving or inside the house before going out
how about the winch? today's hand-held batteries are very powerful. Use the same device to drive the mechanical winch. With small enough gears, even 27 foot boats can be winched with a hand-held device.
wow, I would delete this thread and start getting someone to design this device tonight!

wow, I can't believe this is all unraveling right in front of our eyes
my leaf blower is all electric battery operated
my weed cutter is electric battery operated,
I'm also ready to pull the trigger on a batter operated snow blower cause I cn never get my dang engine running in the winter!
todays batteries are so powerful
I would also throw in there a battery operated wheel-dolly for maneuvering into tight spaces. Yes there's one out there already, but it costs thousands, if we can use the same battery (or three) to drive the wheel-dolly, would be so awesome!

Actually trailer dolly less than $200 not sure how good but..

Actually the motor off that, forward and reverse for winch but with the 80v battery's they have now would be good
Working on a couple different setups for the winch
As powerful and compact as possibleLETS GO BRANDON.... LETS GO BRANDON

Always a easier way everything! Damn, 60 years ago my Dad chucked that POS lousy recoil lawnmower and a socket on the flywheel and a 110 drill? And he was 50 (1950) when I was born! Learned a LOT "how to do when getting old"! Use the brain not the brawn !
