Yeah, they do a heck of a job. All off a Milwaukee 28v, 9 amp/hr battery. Cutting up cars is one of my favorite drills. These will last 45min give or take on a charge too.
Nothing wrong with building something just to build it. Done that many times'78 Hydrostream Viking/'98 225 ProMax

Ok making the other trailer jack battery operated was good and worked well but sometimes when they make stuff in bulk(and not happy about it made in china)
For $50 on sale w warranty don't have to carry around the drill(and like rock said don't need to carry a battery either) and just gave to press a button this us easier... Anything to save the back and energy for boating etc..
Will probably break down and get a winch too only $60-65
It's all getting cheap back when the Damn things cost a fortune

Had one on one my boats. Liked the gear reduction on it and really easy crank by hand. Seldom used power option unless really low tide at launch.

Looks to be pulling power from the truck through the 7 pin. Nice that you don't have to worry about a battery on the trailer.

Yea the trailer jack and the winch.. now it's just plugging and unplugging. on those 95+ degree days rushing to get out sweating(don't know why I rushed getting it on the truck would only take a minute longer lowering it) much nicer just push a button.. Man talk about lazy lol.

Finally broke down and got engine hoist to get the powerheads etc on and off move stuff around..new toy
Should have bought it a long time ago..would have been so much easier than waiting for my son to come over and two of us lifting them off or setting up chain hoist
