    Today's Question

I picked up a power head yesterday and was told it is a Bridgeport. I have not pulled the heads but the block is stamped-2724 Z. Hope to get some feedback on what i have. Thank you

Ser # should be on case half behind timing arm, or pull the heads to know for sure.

So i pulled the heads tonight and Yes it is a Bridgeport. The cylinders look good, now my next Question. This is a 5 pedal motor,i have a complete 7 pedal front half/reeds/manifold/wh20s carbs. So stay with 5 or go to 7 ? Thank you Plans are to put this on a 1000 lb shadow 20vt.

most were 5 petal but they did build a 7 petal carb.. jus not many.. some called 'em formula's?, some called 'em carbed mod-vp's?.. few made it out to tha public.. mostly early '80's..
