Three Lakes WI Shoot-Out Has Ended

I am sad to report that Three Lakes is no longer hosting the Shoot-out and Fly-in. I believe it started out as an informal gathering of Hydrostream owners and somehow the Three Lakes Fire Dept. took it over. Wasn't it originally held at Pine Isle on Medicine Lake (part of the chain).

It would be nice if the informal gathering could just re-get-together for a weekend of cruising the Chain and maybe some radar runs and beer? (each summer in June sometime)

I'm not sure if this is technically the first one, but I think it was ... Nick Kaye had several of us over to do some boating. No drag racing or radar runs.

The group was Mike Balz, Steve Anderson, T-Man, Jon & Dawn Graff, Randy Pierson, Dave Galligan, J. Ferrell, Nick Kaye of course, Pat Brown, myself, and several others that I can't remember. Great times - we even hit "Weasel's" and I have the polaroid to prove it

The next year, it changed with the radar runs.

Bummer.

I would be in for some kind of weekend shenanigans. It is a great place to get on the water.

There will be an event in Three Lakes this year. Working out details now !

I should have another Hydrostream to add to the list next summer. Would like to come out and run if I'm not stuck working.

Weasles hasn't been there for a while. Even Don has been gone for a few (4?) years.

I was so looking forward to the 2020 Three lakes Shoot out!!!! Things happen quickly and I hope to have a boat ready for it. The past events were phenomenal!! Thanks!!

I flew out this last summer to help the two boats l sponser....Great time! Would love to come again this comming summer as we are adding a third boat that beleive it or not l am driving!!!

That was NickFest in September years ago it was a blast years later the three lakes shootout was formed
