Another blow over yesterday when Jackhammer went over on about lap 3 right in front of the crowd. Guys had the escape hatch popped and were out before the boat even settled. Amazing.

Todd and Mike did awesome in the Wicked battling FJ for first for the first couple laps. So cool to see that little boat hanging right with the DW’s. After the blow over and restart they kinda got caught back in the field.

They previously were running the Australian Blade but are running the Victory hull like FJ now. Glad they are ok.

    So these are 32 Doug Wrights w/ 300’s ? Run 105-110 mph ?

What got my attention is I run the same speeds every summer weekend in my 28 Skater. Has anyone heard of a 28 Skater going over backwards ?

I would imagine the weights would be similar between the two ? I think they state 2500 lbs for a 28 Skater hull ?

10 ft beam and 63inch tunnel make they more of a hazard Also when you run your boat I’m sure your not running it like a racer is flat out trimmed out. I personally have never heard of or seen a video of 28 going over. There video on Instagram of I think razor 28 the red and white one going over back of cruiser wake at 70+ and getting the bow real high and it lands effortlessly. So I wouldn’t worry to much about it but bad things can happen on water at speed.

mikesufka, I'm also guessing that when you are strolling at those speeds in your 28, the water conditions are more to your liking than the slop these boats are flat out in?
