Sportmaster prop shaft 2.5 vs 3.0

I have a couple of sportmaster prop shafts and I think they are 3.0 but want to make sure. The main difference I see is the bore to the shift rod. They are .500" and I have a broken 2.5 that measures .560". the flange for the reverse thrust washer is a bit different shape also. I don't see any other differences.

Can someone help me identify them.

    Thanks,
    Bob

Answered it for myself...Just took one of my 300xs cases apart because it was full of water and died. Prop shaft has a .500 hole for the shift rod. Looks like the prop shaft is about the only good part in the case and of course that's the only 3.0 spare part I have.

I knew I should have checked oil when i bought it. Apparently the PO didn't...I only got a couple hours out of it and it's a mess!
