Do you have the owners Manuel? Might there be a reset button? Were you watching the Dolphins game?

Lots of people online having issues...
This must be a common problem. I called and they are sending a new remote but in the meantime you can turn on the TV with the button under the light in front and download an app to use as a remote on a smart phone. It’s free and works like a charm.
Under System > Power > Auto Power Savings I turned off both options. For the last few days now I've woken up and been able to turn in the TV without issue.

Thanks I have tried all the different on off power drain with no results. I called and supposedly they are sending a tech. I will believe that when it happens emailed me and were supposed to call 2 days ago. I gave them the serial number and was told under warranty but I can't find the receipt. I looked up on line and they had video that the power board goes out. If can't get it fixed I will try that before I paint a bullseye on it and take it to the range. Thanks again alot of problems have been solved by you guys. Rick

Bring it fast forward went to sale and got an LG smart tv out of the box the tv would go on and off would not stay on with it hooked to att uverse400 cable took it back. Got another one it does the same thing call att they said box is bad but it works on old style tvs. The new set is fine on amazon prime any ideas on this issue. Man this new tech stuff sucks. Any words of wisdom appreciated.
