I would change the oil gear on the crank if the injection is necessary. It's already on borrowed time. Good luck , those motors are strong.

yes, i mentioned a little slower than my $$$$$2.5 pm. but alot louder. ill just pre-mix like my other 150/ 225. hope i dont run into any frozen bolts on adaptor plates. have a bobs alien cowl, pan, skirt but like the old louvered mariner. ill shoot the 15 mid n lower silver gray, should be interesting look. old school, like me. im fired up!!!! without all the replys i wouldnt have made such progress, cant say enough.

ILL pm you. today i found a nasty black oil puddle on the floor under the mid from running it yesterday. thought it was from tuner wit all the smoke. looked up in can, tuner was dirty but dry. area where driveshaft slips in wet, black oil coated? would that be the lower crankshaft seal? just guessing.why would it be so dark nasty like 20w50. is this something i can fix[seal] or is it major work? is pressure forcing the gunk out?

If the gunk is around where the driveshaft passes through its the seal. If it came out of the exhaust it wouldn't be in that area.

Not sure bout plate question on a 15in. I just dnt no. But the ridge back and smooth back. Racin/offshore. Ridge back has a squarish metal protruding down cent of the mid. Smooth back is just smooth. Hope that helps
