    2.4 powerhead trnsplant question

i have 2.4 220 with a stock 2pc adaptor plate. can i remove pwr hd, leaving adaptor attached tuner and all, lifting it all as 1 unit? or do i have to split the adaptor apart? putting it on a 15'' mid which has a 1 pc adaptor which i would rather not use[too many cooling/ heating problems] rather rather use the ole poppit set=up. what u think the best way to go? thank guys.. i realize i will have to cut the 20'' tuner

If I understand your question, no. The powerhead will have to come off first then split adapter to get to mounts.

THE15 has a 2.4 1pc plate the was ported for im guessing a 2.5 pro max and my 220 2.4 dont think has the big rectangular exhaust ports. my ss pan gasket matches the big adaptor ports. ill have a clamshell 15'' 220 2.4 chromebore mariner. slash-cut snout. as long as the 2pc plate fits on the old school ridgeback mid, yr. unknown?

THAnks for all info, wish i could just send it all out and have it done, not many want to work on old stuff. in the 2nd owner with the 220 ran right up with my 2.5 pmx, but lost power on red lead to injrctors. its not the ecm, sensors all ohm good. when key is on red wire no power. i can hot wire injector side of plug. ground out blue, yellow, white and hear the inj pairs clicking. but ignition wont send 12v to the wire. cranking motor plugsstay dry with good spark. fuses i find are all good. bores are flawless 140 psi. dont know what powers that 12v inj. wire??

injectors run on 9 volts if u hooked up 12v to um they may be toast ive had bad plenum harness problems before the red wire pin may be burned off or came undone inside the plug its happened on the exc plug in several times for me

Dont think its the plug. i checked the wire going to the plug, key on. no voltage. i need to find the source for that red wire. looked at several schematics, for v6 laser, still cant find that feed wire, u say is 9v. even swapped out ecu, stillno power. i was using a 12v test light but think 9v would show some life? thanks. art. had a brain storm! there must be a resistor somewhere droping 12v to 9v. bet that blew.

JSRE SAYS injectors run on 12v?? suggested tapping into purple wire to feed dead red going into plug, add a little gas and crank it... dony want 2 do add more problems. all comments welcome.
