Largecar, the tooner runs at about 60 with just me and light on fuel. The beauty is, it runs over 50 with 6 people. I thought it would be a touch faster, but I have to rememeber its a bigger boat(26 ft).

Dave you obviously need a 28 if you’re making speed runs “light on fuel” in a pontoon - lol

I'm gonna have to agree with Mike on this one....it sounds like an act of sheer desperation if your making "speed" runs in a toon.......just do what I do and bring it home, the wife yells and screams but loves the decision in the end...hahaha

Have you ever noticed at the boat show there is always a jewelry booth. There is a reason for this.

Dave, I clocked you at about 53 with the 6 people in there, so no need to be humble. You can say "mid 50s" and I won't tell anyone any different.
Biggest problem isn't going to be the wife, or what boat you get. It's going to be if the river is ever OPEN instead of FLOODED so that you can run it! This was a lousy year out there.Ron V

Your right Ron, that's why when...oops I mean, IF I get this thing, it will be a trailer boat. The tritoon will be on the Shore-Station and the DW with stay on the trailer until I want to use it. At least if the river is closed, I will trailer somewhere else. Later, Dave

Dave and I brought back his beautiful 28 Doug Wright. Congratulations Dave. We were able to go for boat ride on Monday in 83 degree weather and came back last night to 13" degree weather in Illinois. Ugh...
