It's just a carb. Not rocket science haha. Didnt mean stir up chit. I've never ran a set of these wmv and just gonna do sum experiments, the mota ain't stock ,so all stock jetting pretty much out window neway. The mains I'm not concerned bout it's the idles I'm curious bout and y they r all over the place and if I should say ,throw in sum 48s for idlez and c what it will do

Yep.
135-150 run all the same on one side no idea why it’s flip flop on higher hp.
I had motors confuesd. Tay it was the two designs on the choke plate that are different after 30 years things get jumbled but glad your sticking to it. Looks like we we managed to wrangle out all thoes lean number 6 issues though with people only running .82 -.80 instead of .84.
Sorry merc 2.5 this thing got on your question.
If your willing to trust my memory (it’s faulty). I think it’s an .82 fuel pb and I can’t remember if idle air was .28 or .32. Bowls .86 air
marine engine matches boatnet. 135 has all the same main fuel, airs are different the 140-mag3 keep starboard the same. 200 has all weird.

Ya that's what I was thinkin , well for 2.4 neway. When james did my bassboat block said they should all run same (or real close)on my 2.5 neway with wh46 carbs , and it ended up at 86s on all 6 (safe side) and doin good. But since the wmv are all over the place. not sure if I should try say 84s across the board and see what it does. or should I just step up each cyl according to what they were stock also same with idles? 1 size across board or step up according

It's been so long since I looked at these carbs. All the idles r in it from stock. (Little jets) tiny jets for idles. I removed mains long ago but still have them. I think I'll try 1 size mains and c what they do

I would say if going 6 the same go with 84. Better to just get it dirty then lean and boom.
Their it shouldn’t be a reason you can’t. And with your stacks and no air box and spacer honestly we’re spitting in the wind.
Going with what your builder said if you ran 18,s is good choice.

No he wasn't talking bout 18s. We talking about wh carbs.
But with 18s and biggest jet being 82 and my modded motor. I'd think 86s andngo down. Motor been ported etc

Good read guys, learned quite a bit.
Respect no wake zones!!! Evinrude guys need a place to race too.

The little I fooled with the WMV’s, went up proportionally on main jets from stock( added let’s say .006 to on the .080 to .086 and the .086 went to .092 and on down the line). Completely remove the backdraft jets to prevent surging and other drive ability issues. Didn’t mess with idles because hard to find those and took them off before getting them perfected because got tired of never knowing how take off would be on any given day and patience got slim. They idled cleaner and leaner which I feel was reason why take was so unpredictable from day to day. I also can say they ran harder on top end than my wh 20’s, but the wh’s left much harder. I’ve toyed with idea of playing with them again to see if can get take off better, but just don’t have the time.
