Carb adjustment questions

My Throttle response down low is always smoothest and most responsive in colder weather.

Concurrently, the engine doesn't idle as nicely, or start as smoothly. What would this point to in terms of tuning?

Im not the expert here, but there will be guys along. They will want to know what engine, whats the current setup and what fuel your running. Just fyi

Probably running rich. Makes sense for rough idle and smooth when cold but I would think it would start easily. Is this a motor you have had for a while or is it something new to you. Does prop have black soot on it? What motor is it?
