that looks like a 40 amp cast flywheel. probably why you don't have spark if you have 16 amp stator

My magnets are 3/4 in height, I believe the 40 amp are over 1.0 inch in height.

Maybe sport jets are different. I have never seen a cast 16 amp flywheel.

I had a cast 16 amp, I’ll check and see if I still have it and if all magnets are in good shape, if not you can use a flexplate one in its place. Going to be hard to find, the one I had was the only one I have ever seen.

I would run flexplate flywheel over cast if I had the choice. Little lighter. I have a 9/16 flexplate if interested. $35 plus ride

That’s the reason I had one laying around, because I replaced it with a flex plate. It seems as though mine has a cracked or repaired magnet also. The way the magnets are just glued on and hanging out there with no protection makes them prone to damage, kinda of cruddy design. Was only holding on to it because I felt it was unique being it was the only one I had seen

Thanks all, forbeauto - its definitely a cast 16 amp FW, I would be interested in yours. or just some magnets..
Bullet123 - got a pic of the flex plate design FW - what else would have to changed?
Do you think this would work with that one cracked magnet?

I wouldn't bother trying to fix it. Flexplates are lighter and seem to last forever, but that's up to you
