How often do u run wfo?

I found a thread from 05 or 06. but instead bringing it back up would like to start new. So how many many hit top speed everytime out or for how long. Me I'm still workin with cable steer and the steering torque really really sucks with a 3blade anything cause of heights I run I guess, but with my (family) 4 blade. I try hold 80for while and I'm ok for little while haha. then I like the 30 to 60 or 70 blast from the 24 prop. I guess I like runnin wfo alot but alot of that is up to speed and back down , but soon as i get hydraulic steer I'll b seeing what the 28s will do (3blades) now this is a heavy ass pig bass boat loaded to gills. So how yall run round on just a weekend outing ? Not runs or gatherings

Wot Everytime I go out, I run up and down this section of the river that's about 15-20 miles it's nice and wide and usually not many boats around if any and just run up and down..usually in a 5-8 Mile section...not to say the entire time but a good portion especially if I'm by my self..what's nice is the conditions change alot going up this section from almost flat to 3-4' when the tides changing and where the wind comes across.
When I go out with people(more than 2) in the boat I usually don't run wot for long(also conditions) just get up there and back down..I mean I stop and hang out when I go out with people because it's the only time you can hear anything to talk too..
Not alot of places to cruise to so and if I was going to go out to dinner it's across from the ramp so..

Top speed runs are rare for me. When I do run fast I do a pre-run to scout for rogue cruiser wakes and then return fast. Usually the lake has wind or boat wakes. More often I run WOT with the engine low enough that I'm not seeing top speed. I cruise at 70 +/- a lot. A tunnel that porpoised in that range would not work for me at all.

I run wide almost every time out. But never to hit a new top speed. My boat is a flats boat so my passengers and I are sitting on the boat rather than in the boat. I'm alone maybe 10% of the time, and that is when I will run wide open and see how fast I can go. But when I load the boat with 4 people, a big cooler of beer, and a bunch of gas, I know the boat will be significantly slower. I can hit low to mid 70s when alone. But with a load I'll run it up to the high 50s just to see let the motor breathe a little.

I don't like to go very fast with passengers because of the design of the boat. If I had a little action or hydrostream where you are sitting down in the boat, I might push the speed up more.

I usually cruise at about 40 mph either way. I don't have friends with fast boats

Wide open? Top speed? On a good day, duration's might last maybe 2-3 minutes or 3 to 5 miles. That is maybe 1 or 2% of my total run time.
What is wfo? Google says "Workforce optimization". The first hit on Duck duck says "World Federation of Orthodontists" somehow I don't think either one of those are right.... help me here....

I boat in lots of places but at least once per outing I’m wide open. Some places are more suitable for it so I will run faster than others. I enjoy cruising at that sweet spot where things seem effortless which is still faster than most boats can travel. When it’s a good calm spot? Full jam

I love to run the stream around 65mph, seems to be when all porpoising is done and life is good. Short bursts of wot just to keep that silly grin on my face..haha

I always blow the dust off my spark plugs at least a couple times each trip. Sometimes I will just cruise in the mid 60's where other people say my boat is hard to drive. I still can't figure out what they are talking about.

    Ole lady with me 51mph...

no ole lady depends on the ride. It gets 7mpg at 90mph but some of the river runs don't allow that.

Long story short it gets better mileage light

Going fast is fun but wear your jackets. Even 70 hurts
