Repowering my 25 Liberator with 300R's
I had 300XS motors on this 25 Liberator. I had someone that wanted a pair of 300xs motors, so I sold them. I recently got in a new pair of 300R motors so I started rigging them this week. These have 1.60 gears so I will run 34" or 36" Hill 5 blade cleavers.

This will be very interesting to see the differences in mid range & overall performance.

Took it for it's first run today but one motor kept stalling. I think it's due to low voltage on that battery. I got some in-water pics though.

Maybe 1/4". An extra 100 lbs on a 25ft boat means nothing when it carries 600 lbs of fuel

I would think the 25s with pods float more level as well. Do you ever have any plans of trying a single 450 on a 25? Thanks

Not unless someone comes up with the money first. Texas Liberator just did one with a single 400 and it ran low 90's with a Bravo prop. Probably mid to high 90's set up right.

I figuered out why one motor kept stalling. Seems the fuel line has a clear liner. When pushed onto the barb fitting, the liner gets crunched up and blocks the fuel flow. I replaced the line and it runs fine now. Gotta do a water test next.
