Lat year of 140 Cross Flow (20")?

I seem to find some gray info on this topic.

For the V-4 Crossflow 140, 20" shaft. What was the last year of production? 1985? Later?

Technically, the last year of the crossflow 140 was 1984. The looper 140 came out in 1985 and at the same time they changed the way outboards were rated, so the crossflow 140 was reduced to 115. The crossflows stayed in production for quite a while after that and was taken over by the 60 degree loopers. I believe the last V-4 crossflow was in 1996 ( I may be wrong there)
