Jack plate with zero lift at full down
Looking for a power jack plate with near zero lift when full down.
I have a 2019 Tritoon with a 2019 Merc 200 DTS
Id like to be able to raise motor for the super shallow areas in my lake and hopefully gain a bit of speed on the top end.
Ive been looking for a few days now and most jack plates look to have an inch or two of lift at full down.
I dont think my boat will handle the inch or two of lift.
I know with the angle of the transom the setback will eliminate some lift but not sure how much, I was never one for doing calculations.
Anyone seen a jackplate with a minimal lift.

I think the formula is: for every inch of setback, you can raise the engine 1/4" to 1/2" up. I had a Bob's Hydraulic Jack Plate and it was just about level with the bottom. Most jack plates have adjustable holes drilled in the plate that mounts to the transom so you can mount it low to start.

Thanks for the info.
Ill probably email a few manufactures and get their recomendations. Boat has full Smartcraft and N2k data so a jackplate height indicator would be slick.
The boat has huge lifting strakes, at least 4 inches wide on both side of center tube and inner of outer tubes, this boat leans hard into turns at speed.
Not sure why Crestliner decided to stop the strakes short of the transom on center tube.
The turning is great just trying to squeeze that last few MPH out of it and be able to get into shallow piers.
My boat is on a lift in about 6ft of water, my buddy has his boats on the end of his pier, and when i go over there im stuck tying off at the shore end of his pier in 2 to 3 feet of water.

The further back you set your motor the cleaner the water. For every inch you can go back you can go up 1/4. 6 inch setback you can go up 1 to 1.5 inches. Always mount in top wholes. Mph might go up a little but no significant gains in speed but every little bit helps. You should have plenty of rigging to do the job. Good luck.
