Does anybody know the story on this Blue 1984 18ft Action Marine signed by Barney?
Hey guys I've been following S&F for a long time. This is my first post. I just picked up a 1984 18ft Action Marine yesterday. It's got a 150 merc XR4, fresh water boat and motor. It's completely original. No cleats, or lights. It was used on a lake in central FL. It's got Barneys name along with two other names Steve and Carl written on the side. Under that it says SIDS and Ken's Evinrude. Does anyone happen to know anything about it? Any info would be appreciated. Thanks

I'm guessing Carl is Carl Sandstrom. I'm also going to guess it's a boat that was raced at the Caribbean Club in the 80's maybe? I'm sure someone will have some history on it.

Sid & Ken's Outboard Shop was on the corner of Sistrunk & Andrews Ave., right in the heart of downtown Ft. Lauderdale. They were a JohnRude dealer. Joel Feeger, who is usually on this board quite often, bought Sid & Ken's back when, and renamed it Joel's Outboard Service, and was still an OMC dealer for many years. Maybe he will chime in. He's been retired & living in Hobe Sound, Fl. for a while now, but he should know something.
