    Mercury 200 - 2.5 FF Block

    1996 Mercury 200 - 20" mid - FF Block

Freshwater mid section that I purchased from a forum member. No rust on the steering arm.

    Cowling from an optimax

    -Solid Mounts
    -Chris Carson Reeds and Stuffers
    -Bob's Machine Shop Exhaust Tuner
    -Carbs rebuilt
    -Fuel Pump rebuilt
-Head Gaskets changed 10 hours ago (bores looked good)
    -New powerhead base gasket
    -Drilled exhaust with snout

Motor runs and sounds great. It pushed my heavy flats boat to 75 mph.

Comes with spare lower unit, it lost forward and reverse, but the case is nice

    $2400

I was just swapping the plugs before putting it in the water for a 2 week trip. Ran it every day for those 2 weeks and it never skipped a beat. It had good compression when I purchased it. I have only put about 15-20 hours total on it. It pushed my flats boat to the best top speed I've seen, then I took it off the boat the next day, it has been sitting on the stand since.

It is a great motor, but I'm starting to fish more so I bought a 200 opti and a 150 opti to try out and see what I like most. Seeing how the 3.0 weight works out on my boat.

Did a compression check yesterday and ran the motor a little. Sounds great. Compression was 115-120 on each.

Open to an offer on just the powerhead if someone is interested in that alone.

    New Price of $2200.

Was running this past weekend and the lower gave out on me. Propshaft still spins freely but it just doesn't engage into gear. The lower is included, the case and skeg are perfect.

If someone wants the powerhead for $2000, it might make shipping easier

    This specific motor sold.

However. I have had another 95 FF block sitting in the garage waiting for me to put in the time to get it going again. Compression is 120 psi on each. I ordered some carson reeds, carb rebuild, fuel pump rebuild, and a few other new components like an airbox cover. The motor is a lot nicer than the one I sold from this ad. It has been my coronavirus project. I should have it done by early next week, I mounted it to an old mid section I had so now I can start really working on it.

I don't have a boat for it so I'll probably just sell it once I finish. I'll make an ad when I am done with it
