While certainly an interesting prop design, I can't help but think how high you would have to go in pitch from your normal boats prop to compensate for the slip caused by the "hole" in the blades surface. May turn out to just be abother gimmick like the era when people put magnets on their fuel lines and claimed to get rediculous fuel savings

I watched it. Ran a 15 apollo and a 15 enertia against it. Should have probably been a 17p enertia if they really turned it 5850. The thin blades let them spin up alot more.
Biased test is biased. I think we all know that different pitches for different props may be required on the same boat to achieve the best performance for each. I'd like to see the same test with the boat propped for each individual styleLast edited by RSWORDS; 10-14-2019 at 05:00 PM.

I THINK the test was fair. the conventional props were general all purpose style and boat average family type. if the motor is rated to turn 5800, the sharrow prop is the winner. unless the test was rigged, lol.

That motor would pull a 17p enertia to 5700 and you would Probably run faster then the 15p. You dont think that all three props of the same pitch turning 5850 is real world accurate do you?
It may be the next big thing. I dont know.
I do know that that test was not apples to apples. Properly setting the boat up for each of the three props would be. And maybe the sparrow would run even better and out distance the other two by more in that case. But we dont know.Last edited by RSWORDS; 10-15-2019 at 10:12 AM.

3000 rpm chart is where they jump the shark. 3k rpm and only 10-11 mph for reg props and 23 for the sharrow. Nah....I call bs. It might be a great prop under certain criteria. Best overall we know it ain't....

Would be interesting to know if its a billet prop in the test or cast like the stainless props. If it's billet, they're comparing a prop that costs 3, 4, 5x more.

The one they tested was described as a "soft aluminum alloy" at least for this one.
