Tesla has been buying up companies, Maxwell technologies and Hibar systems which specializes in high speed battery manufacturing, they say they have developed a million mile battery, which is the main cost of production of a EV car or soon Truck, I'm getting on the pre-production list since my brother has a Model S twin motor version He gets notified and first dibs, talking to him last week He said a better version of what he bought is now $20,000 cheaper, newer more efficient drive motors, battery and so on Tesla is going to be so far ahead of the rest of the industry their will be no stopping them, with the whole world working on battery tech their will be break-thru's with less need of lithium.

I rode one of the Zero EV bikes at at my last track day. To say the least, it was very impressive. The drive out of the corners was a blast. If Yamaha or the others come out with a track specific model with Ohlins suspension, clipons, and rearsets, I will more than likely get one. Evs are a blast. The naysayers are just living in the past.

Interesting. So you are okay with the government subsidizing a car company, but you are against subsidizing farmers and our food supply.

You are a worthless F'ing hypocrite if I have ever seen one.

Once again your turning this into politics and have NO IDEA what you are talking about, the US gov. spends over 20 Billion a year in farm subsidizes, where as a program to get the EV company's started the Buyers get a tax credit not cash in hand as you do, GIFT is a better word, No Tesla cars or trucks will receive ANY tax credits as of Jan 1st 2020 2 months away, Do you understand the amount of infrastructure, charging stations all across the world, that has to be built for this to work at ALL, did not think you could understand that, the Tax credit going to the consumer NOT the builder as in YOUR case

You need to get your head out of your butt and understand the temporary tax credits for stimulation of a totally new, needed endeavor, Oh I forgot you don't believe in Global warming

They cost twice what they should, it's not going to work when a EV motorcycle cost almost as much as a Model 3 car.

The Zero motorcycle is assembled in Ca. but most of the parts come from China and the range is pathetic.

Yamaha is a company I trust

    I'll wait for something better.
