Last year there was only 5 boats on Saturday and 3 on Sunday. Ive heard rumors of a class over haul to make more of 1450 pro mod class with 15" mids.

That's sad I have a real good motor for that class, has not been used in over ten years, was planning on getting back into it since I'm selling my business and will have time to do what I want.
Mod Production was always the largest class, my how things change.

You can still run that motor in lake racer. Im sure with some small changes you could run in river racer if you can get down to 1325.

Your friend should just go. I’ve noticed more of this in recent years. Somebody asks if there’s gonna be any participation in a class on a social media site and if they don’t get 6-8 confirmations they just stay home. The truth is many that race don’t read this website so I wouldn’t expect many confirmations here. Back before social media people just made the trip and guess what, there were more boats participating then.

    Tommy Dunn

I told him to put my SS 260 on and race S Stock , no test time, Tommy don't race unless he is ready, unlike me.

He has all my 2.5 power heads in his shop.

I'll put something together for next year, wish I could get Jimmy Clouser to run one of my boats again, he's a REAL racer.

And fun to watch ... pulling wheelies at 1/2 track

He won Bainbridge from what I hear, then his wife could not get the truck started so he got out of the boat to start it for her and got DQed for getting out of the boat...

Remember he Won his class at Jasper last year,

I Love the guy, he has fire in his heart.

I'm sure certain people don't want him to race because it ruins their chances

He got dq’ed for getting out of the boat AND using the wrong set of ramps to pull out. That was made very clear at the drivers meeting.....no one else had any issues with that. Tensions were high when it was put out that they would be checking stroke, and while having a stroker crank isn’t illegal, it may be if you have too much bore and not enough weight. We know he had a stroker crank, but don’t know the bore or his weight, since he got dq’ed before tech. The screaming and obscenities coming out of that truck when they were leaving made you want to run and cover every child’s ears.

Did not know about the ramp deal was having dinner with Tommy in NC when I got my story, Jimmy was so pissed He would not answer my call, Knowing Tommy over twenty years I know he would not build Jimmy a illegal motor, his reputation is solid, Jimmy IS Jimmy.
What Tommy did tell me he was working his A$$ off for two weeks straight to get ready, it was no fluke.
    See y'all at Jasper.

Not trying to say his motor was illegal. Actually, I personally think it was within the rules. The stroke measured was 100% legal and I agree Tommy is straight shooter. It sucks the way it went down.....Him, Tyner, and Ed would’ve been some tight racing on Sunday.
