use of primer bulb on efi motor?i

is it common to use the primer bulb when cold starting an efi motor? i leave my key on for 5-6 seconds, assuming elect pump has pressurized lines then crank it. it does not start immediately. do you guys use the primer when u launch? i thought that was a carb thing. jsre said i need to prime first. motor should start immediatly. any comments 225 2.5.?? my yellow/red wire is connected to the solenoid lug

my 300x i need to use the primer bulb if i have not ran the boat in a week or so. It fills the low pressure pump that then fills the EFI high pressure pump.

Yep, 1st start of the day pump er up. Should be good rest of day. If not, check for air leaks in line. My stream with a very short fuel run stays tight for months. My other boats with a longer fuel line run need it every time 1st start. Due to expansion and contraction from temps?

Prime it first start, if the VST is not full you will cook the fuel pump.

That is the correct way for check valve to work properly.

Checking or priming a first start, day/week/month can not hurt and can only help pump.
