    Dave, as meticulous as you are, I cant believe you spilled some blue paint on your hardware and didn't clean it up ...

    I was at our county drag strip .. err .. PITT car training facility the other day, and I noticed they spilled paint on some parts of this airplane. I reckon that the wings must have fell off of .. cuz everybody knows ya need wings to fly ..

    I took a good friend of mine to pick up a car from the paint shop . Like your boat, that ****** was beautiful. We went to lunch while we were out, and after driving up and back to find a parking spot, he took up two spots way out at the end of the lot. When he finally got to the sidewalk, I said, bro, you might as well go run it into a shopping cart or two .. get it over with before ya make yaself sick over it ... <strike>
    </strike>

    Beefs has all alpha gears but pretty sure when we swapped it to fat shaft we used the clutch dog and spool that came with the fat shaft.

    Mine wont ratchet thru the shifter/cable its too rigid,I was on looking into how to make it ratchet and saw the alpha spool was different and picked one up on ebay to see what it looked like inside, It's much longer but it does have springs inside. it would take some doing to make it ratchet like a 2.5 with the springs in the prop shaft.

    it has been done not sure what it takes. I’ve got a few empty sporty housings if u need to do a test fit. I will say from a lake/family boat perspective (mine) the 1.62 Latham front mount and no ratchet is fine. 100-0 absolutely nothing weird steer with your knee at 100mph. Now ur slide (jake brake) and clothes line steering is a different story.

    Yea dimensions =30 but with some air space 28, It has a baffle with little one way doors in the back to hold fuel around the pickup so it should be ok runing low.
