    CT River NON Pizza Party

The bunny has instructed me to make this post.

The person who normally announces this day has chosen to completely shirk his responsibility this year. He seems to be milking this excuse of being sick which allows him to goof off as much as he pleases.

Anyway, the bunny is going for a boat ride on Saturday, Oct. 19th. He will be stopping to sign autographs at Dart Island about 6.5 miles north of Haddam Meadows State Park and 5 miles south of the Middletown bridge.

Anyone who would like to meet him should probably bring a boat.

Discussion of having pizza delivered has taken place but is currently unresolved so have a plan to bring your own food
. This thread will be updated if that changes.

PLEASE OBSERVE ALL NO WAKE ZONES, OBEY ALL MARITIME LAWS, AND WEAR YOUR LIFE JACKETS BECAUSE I WOULDN'T JUMP IN THAT FREEZING WATER TO SAVE MY MOTHER.

    So there....

And don't ANYBODY be thinking that I am in anyway in charge here. I take great pride in being COMPLETELY IRRESPONSIBLE about anything.

Rich Owen calls the shots. I just do the weather.

He is extremely cordial and accomodating, I'm a cranky bastard so nobody wants me anyway

    What’s a no-wake zone?

lol, last year, a jet boat and I went the wrong way at a “y” in the river. We both didn’t know the river well, but I saw “1-2 feet” on the depth finder. So we didn’t slow down haha. Had to run the skinny water.

wife is due for baby #2 on October 20th. Not sure if I’m going to make it this year.

General rule of thumb , when going north on the river above Haddam Meadows stay to the right of any island .
Pete might be able to talked into posting some maps

I bought my Baja from a Gold Star family who lost their son in Afghanistan. The father grew up with fast small boats. If he came along would there be someone to treat him to a ride along? It would mean a lot. Thank you everybody on here and see you all on the 19th. By the way, the Baja is a bow rider so if anyone has a pizza oven it should fit.

Bring him for sure. We'll get him a ride. Look for the Apricot metalflake boat with the bunny (It is NOT orange) and I'll get him fixed up.
