How to cut a ridge back to 15"

Any ideas on how to or where to get her cut to a 15 mid.
I was thinking of leave it rigged on boat and cutting/weilding.
    Any one know anyone?

Requires a jig for proper alignment, experience and good aluminum welding skills. Better leave it to a pro. Michael Chapman, Marty Powell

No way you could do it while on boat. Jig for alignment is the easy part. Getting the aluminum clean enough and clear enough on the inside so as to allow for a couple straps and good continuous weld is critical. Exterior welding is easy and finish is as well. The importance of a solid interior weld cannot be overstated. Your life may depend on it.

I have had great experiences with Michael Chapman and his father. Calhoune marine. Elloree SC. 803-897-3806. They cut one for me and added a offshore snout. Just trying to help. Good luck.

Calhoune Marine did mine. Michael and his Dad did a great job and it`s still going strong.

I see. I did notice after some searching that some of the people mentioned in this thread would only shorten offshore mids and would not even attempt a fishing motor design. I'm sure it could be done but it would require quite a bit of fancy workin along with considerable beefing up of the cut areas. Doubt I will bother I'll probably just stick with the stock fishin motor mid I need the thing to be quiet for some of the places I use it
