    Three Lakes Shootout

I heard that there won't be a 3 lakes shootout next year. Is this true? I got to go for the first time this past June and it was a great time. Hopefully this is a false rumor and I get to go again!

It was a 1000' radar run in northern Wisconsin. Boats from all over came to put up big numbers. One of the coolest events in the North. When we moved to Texas I would drive up for it. The people, town, and location made it something that you just couldn't miss. Sorry to see if over, but I get it. It is a ton of work to put on.

Very fun, unique event and hearing this makes me feel even worse for missing it this year. Mark is a great guy and put a bunch of effort into this for a good cause but he told me that there were a bunch of whiners giving him opposition at every turn. That area is absolutely precious boating for 8 weeks a year.

Sad news for sure. This was an awesome event!! Thanks to all those that put it on!! This was the first year for me bringing a boat and I was blown away by the hospitality and friendships made there. Not to mention a first class well run event. I'll miss it in 2020. I already had a modified motor ready for next year! Thanks for all the great memories!!

the St Germain radar runs Friday night is a must see the outlaw sleds run under the lights 150 plus mph in 500 feet on snow ,the record is 176 mph I believe, spent the whole day Saturday watching racing on the side lining up 15 or so sleds all day and let them go

Thats only about an hour South of where I keep my sleds. It would be worth drive down to play around with the boost turned up. Looks like Jan. 31st and Feb. 1st.

Many thanks to the many people who worked very hard to put on a superb show for the many years it was contested. It will be missed.

If anyone is looking for a 3-Lakes replacement I highly recommend the UMPBA Steven's Point Drag race!! Not sure what the boating is like on the Wisconsin River but the races are awesome!

3 Lakes was great. Gonna miss it. As for the UMPBA. Their website seems dead, nothing going on over three and not a post on the forum for 2yrs. I tried to contact them via email but still no reply. I'd like to do some heavy playing next year but I'd need to hear from someone first. Not sure why they don't email back.
If I don't ask any questions, I'll never learn anything.
