Miami Vice... were you there?

It's 2019 and I'm having a blast watching all of the Miami Vice episodes on Amazon Prime.

Since I never watched it back in the 1990s and knowing how tight-knit the boating groups are now... I am certain if you had any kind of a fast boat then, EVERYONE had to know who you were, who built the boat and each detail.

Who has the best Miami Vice story?

OK Miami vice fans...There is a member on this site
that was on the production side of the series..He was The Man on the marine side ,,,all the boat scenes ,,,he was involved in..If you guys want more info I will ask him to log in...This guy is one cool S/F member,,,8 to 10 high performance boats that he still plays with,,,,many stories.

Miami Vice was one of the most influential pop culture shows of the 80’s and TV in the 80’s had major influence. The show featured movie like production quality with high end props, stunts, special effects, and chart topping music hits some of which were launched through the show. Smugglers blues iirc was Glenn fry’s song and premiered on the show. Phil Collins not only provided some of his biggest hits for the shows soundtrack he also guest starred in the series.

I'm loving the flashbacks to the 80's music and a simpler life.

Sonny's car looks like a kit makeover Corvette wannabe Ferrari but hearing the starter crank up it does sound just like a 365 GTS

Great show and definately got me drooling about "cigarette boats" and Ferrari's - not sure i was even in my teens yet but I sure thought they looked cool. I think Saundra Santiago got me interested in women - LOL

I thought I read somewhere that Larry Goldman ( RIP ) was involved in some way also.

I had a customer that shipped a 41 Chris Craft Stinger same as was used in the first series I think, over to OZ did about 70mph with 400trs's

I watched that show as a kid, and loved it. Michael Mann went on to become a great director.

Miami Boat Show had a Vice display a few years ago.

We were playing that game and when guys started showing up at the shop in Testerossa's I knew it had gone to far! I don't see no trailer hitch pal,you want me to "haul" your boat too!

How about convincing your buddy to start a thread detailing some of it? I can't recall who it is, but know he's chimed in on several occasions over the years about the experience.
