Hit and run on our lake. Does anyone recognize this rubber mat?

This was found on a dock that was hit after midnight on our lake along with red and silver metalflake bits and pieces of fiberglass. The boat hit the dock so hard that it knocked poles out, seriously broke the ends of 2 X 6 decking and broke the gearcase on a stern drive hanging in the boathouse right above the sacrificial anode. Incredibly the boat drove off in less than a minute but the camera in the boathouse doesn't show a identifiable image. It sounds like a 4 stroke. I've seen this rubber stuff on a boat somewhere, but can't recall where or when. It MIGHT be helpful in identifying the brand.

Thank you. I wonder if other brand boats use the same material near the front.

Thanks Greg, but I don't think it's necessary. DNR has been informed that the rubber material was used on Tritons based on the comment here and may or may not have been unique to that brand. I believe they will research that today. If it is narrowed down to Triton only and knowing that red and silver metalflake were in the finish it may help them narrow it down from registration records. I don't know how common a brand Triton is in this area since I don't pay attention to bassboats, but looking at the internet it seems the nearest dealer is 75 miles away.

If there's anything I can do please let me know. I'm betting they should narrow down the specific model of boat very quickly.

That boat is locked up in a garage or barn somewhere. Prob be reported stolen in a yr or so. They have hit and run and it's too late to turn back now. (2nd deg misdemeanor with just property damage) Can't get it repaired w/o risk of exposure, and the water cops may come knocking anyway after an investigation. Stupid to run and make things worse than they were.

I would guess bass boat of some sort. My buddies Stratos has that same material on the nose of the boat where the trolling motor is.

Sorry to hijack, but whatever happened with Dennis Rodman's Fountain in Texas ? The rumor was a late nice collision, people got hurt, and that boat was pulled out before morning and vanished. Just curious how that story ended.
