HALF BOAT/HALF PLANE Vintage Austin Aeromarine Ram II Prototype Boat

Up for sale is a prototype flying boat that was built back in the 1970's to break the world speed record. Published in 2 issues of Popular Mechanics magazine, this boat successfully ran 125 mph with twin Chrysler engines. After this run, Mercury supplied twin racing outboards totaling 450 hp that were to push this boat into the record books. The boat runs with twin outboards and fly's in ground affect. Its all aluminum construction gives it a half hydroplane, half fighter jet kinda look! Nothing like it anywhere! Dual cockpit, rear rudder, wings, Tunnel bottom, awesome! There is a ton of documentation that goes with the boat. I removed the top rudder portion so it would fit in storage. It can easily be put back on. Also included are the twin V6 Mercury outboards sponsored by Mercury to break the world speed record. These outboards have never been completely assembled. The fully dressed rolling power heads are just sitting loose on the T3 mids. Trim pumps and other rigging pieces are new in bubble wrap. The fully dressed rolling power heads were still in the vintage wood shipping crates when I purchased the rig 7 years ago. Outboard motors are complete minus one gear case. 22500.00 or best offer

I think it would be best to keep the motors with the boat. Thank you for the interest!

Would like to sell for the best offer. Might be interested in a trade or partial trade. Tunnel boats, muscle cars, new outboard part inventories, outboard salvage......
