I think they are 12 ohms
Less common but still there from time to time

Ronnie ... You know I'm not a tree hugger .. And I saw literally 100's of trees that were perfect Canidates for me to land in upside down in @ 100 + mph ...
Safe indeed ...
Aaron ... take your ohm meter. Put one lead on one prong, tother on da udder ... and you tell us what a "saturated" injector measures out at vs a "peak and hold's" 2.2 to 3 ohm value ....

What are the chances the "signal" going to ONLY one of the injectors is not working properly?

Don't want to send you on a goose chase but, I once found an injection harness wire inside plenum had rubbed itself raw. That injector was not firing properly.
These days just about anything is possible. Troubleshoot systematically and not by chasing assumptions.
I don't recall what lead me to look. The DDT will direct you to circuits that have an issue. Any particular injector has a few connections between ECU and the injector itself. It never hurts to do a thorough visual inspection on wires and connections.Jim

Could be. I can't say for sure. I know you can add 12 volts and a ground to spray them. Its a switch valve and a metering devise. There are a number of things that can keep it from working properly.

Actually .. they live in an environment that is closer to 9 volts. And yes they are switched to ground..

The issue I have is that #2 piston only is melting, according to the FSM - the ECU controls both the #1 and #2 cylinders through the same white wire, but #1 cylinder is ok
Id like to approach the issue with data and not assumptions like you said Jim S,
I ohm tested the injector plug and I get 6 ohms on each of the 3 wire pairs for the injectors, so seems like the circuit is correct without going in and looking at each of the wires
Injectors were cleaned but maybe it's not clean enough

You're assuming it's fuel? How is it melting and under what conditions.

Assuming it's fuel might be a fair statement - However the 1 plug was not brown like the other 5 when running it on the hose for several minutes...the plug was pretty much clean
Took the head off and it looked like the one cylinder had some detonation/pre-ignition condition because the piston melted around the ring..."Seemed" like a lean condition to me

A new plug or the plug that was in there when the piston melted?. If the plug is shorted from bits of aluminum from the piston edge then nothing that happened after that is "indicative" of the original problem.
Even a new plug won't light the fire if there's no compression because the ring is stuck in melted land?
Not trying to make trouble... it just doesn't seem like the injector is a "sure thing" yet?

it,s better to not assume but start measuring
A megasquirt module board is about the cheapest i can think off to do injector testing
since you have high impendance injectors you can do all 6 at a time
How i spend my second easter day!

I agree, injectors need to be serviced.
Step one of troubleshooting I always ask a few questions like when was the last time it ran properly? When was the last time engine was serviced? Have you ever had injectors serviced? I found sometimes I needed to work thru layers of issues before I got to the problem at hand.Jim

I'm curious how those numbers go DOWN on the STATIC after cleaning. Thats not normal.....
