240 Sport Jet. Powerhead on outboard

I know the driveshaft spline is different And have known of people changing a driveshaft in the 2.5 block and mounting sport jets on an outboard
but really trying to find out on a 2003 and a 2005 240 sj powerhead
what kind of outboard powerhead would it be equivalent to. ?
Maybe pro max? And wonder how different the computer on it would be
I have a couple of these engines Anyone know the real story?

early 240 sportjet and 225 promax are the same block, sportjet block is just painted, my old sportjet block had NN stamped on it just like a promax, i would assume the M2 sportjet would be more like a 225x, i have a 225x but have no experience with the M2 sportjet so i can't compare them
