There are a bunch of different kinds of construction adhesive alot have pretty much the same color can confuse one with another... some if they get wet or frezze before they cure they turn to crap..
No matter what it was they used the wrong stuff..
Even if it was liquid nails once the wood rots you wouldn't need tools to pull it apart the adhesive is only as strong as what it's attached to.LETS GO BRANDON.... LETS GO BRANDON
Sometimes I talk to myself...then we both just laugh and laugh

What's the rest of the wood look like?
It's all gotta go. Here is some updated photos from yesterday where I've cut the glass along the sides and have peeled the glass away from the two short stringers. I've got friends coming this weekend to help lift the boat from the trailer and set it on the grass so the hull will be supported and I can get inside and finish the cutting and grinding to have a clean, bare hull. I'll then shape new White Oak stringers. White Oak will not absorb water - it's been the wood of shipbuilding for hundreds of years. I shape it, make all the cuts, then saturate all surfaces with Rot Doctor's thin penetrating epoxy (CPES), then lay the stringers into a thick bed of epoxy "peanut butter" under weight. I'll be posting those updates in the Build forum under the GT150 thread - Gordon
