Junk. The hub is aluminum. Surfacing is too hard and it and do what Robbie said. I had one and never really got it to work right. Got rid of it before it came apart!

I would think the prop came from a time when 300 HP was just a dream. Notice they showed a test with a V6 IO not a big V8. Todays outboards have a wider torque band and do just fine turning a big prop.

Ran a new one in mid-90's on a single engine 502 Magnum Bravo sterdrive boat. Ran great on that type of boat. Was only 1-2 mph slower that Mirage Plus at the time. You know how a big-block jet boat's RPM is just about full throttle, the entire time? That's exactly what the Land & Sea prop did for this I/O boat. It was only 100-200 RPM's off wide open throttle, right out of the hole. It worked great & was impressed with its performance & incredible acceleration advantage. You are correct in saying that it would not work on any boat that came in and out of the water, or in a surfacing propshaft height installation, but for every other type of boat, it really worked.

Someone else bought the tooling for this prop from Land & Sea & was marketing it years back. Forget the name.
