    Firearms onboard boats

I know a lot of off-shore fishermen carry them... but how about you guys? Do you keep one on your vessel just-in-case?
Definitely not the little boats like most of ours, but what about your cabin cruisers / mooring queens / etc?

All too often I see viral videos of idiots way out at sea ramming other boats, causing a scene, and iphones video recording it all. That would make me want to add a few drain holes to their boat

I always bring my carry into the boat. Glove box across from me or cup holder next to me, depends on my piece of the day.
Have run into more crazies on and near the water then off of it.

More on the water - I agree. But I don't have a carry permit. I may just leave a pump action hidden onboard the new vessel. Not sure yet.

My carry goes everywhere I go. If it can’t go there I don’t go there.

I can't bring mine into work - armed guards, barbed wire, and such. Otherwise, I would totally have a carry permit.

Don't know about now, but not long ago it was totally illegal and totally necessary for cruising the Bahamas--just too much chance of modern day pirates.

    Per my hero Instigator:

That big boat you got now. Mount the skeet thrower on the bow and drive offshore on a calm day.

In US state and fed waters you can OPEN carry a weapon while going to fish, while fishing, coming back from fishing, .....FE; shotgun in a rod holder. So, always carry a fishing rod too. International waters anything goes. In the Bahamas territorial waters (and a lot of other places) they have stricter gun laws that change as the wind blows. This is my current understanding, but things change.
