I didn't know a 300R was offered at the factory on a 21. But there's your source of info. Call them. I wonder how safe and stable a Pulsare 21 is at 100+ myself...

i have been in contact with them already, only an extra couple g's for a 300R compared to a 300xs. i assume the 300R would take the 2100br into the low to mid 90's at my elevation. i dont think it would break 100 unless you had a long deck. I do recall someone on here hanging a 400R on a 2100 awhile back so it cant be tha bad.

Either way it's still a wild ride and hanging a 400R on a 2100 is just silly, the boat really isn't designed to have 700 lbs hanging off the back. 520lbs or so is really the right weight to get the proper CG.
I think the bigger issue is you will probably be the test case as i don't think they are selling many new Checkmates these days. Just not a lot of people looking to spend $80K on a 21' boat.Mark

Well its roughly 65k USD for a 21, everuthing else i priced so far is gonna be well over 100 by the time i get it here in canada lol so it makes it one of the few feasible options in a go fast open bow.

I'd have no problem hanging a 300r on my 2100br. I would run a little less set back due to slightly more weight but I bet it would drive great. Not sure it would run over 100mph but only one way to find out. I dont recall any with a 400r yet, too heavy imo wrong application. Randy's unicorn 98mph Pulsare has been the fastest I've ever heard/read about but not many (if any) have come close to that number. Likely something to do with a brand new boat with a brand new motor running in salt/brackish water at sea level. I'd love to hear from other Pulsare owners who are firmly in the nineties...

yeah a 400 seems silly but anything is worth a try lol. the only 2100br pulsare on my lake runs 80 which is a far cry from randys solid 95 in his yellow unicorn. So somewhere in the open bow, elevation, water is some missing speed. still I think mid 80's with a 300R would be attainable. be interesting to see what a long deck would do....

I had a 18' Diplomat with a 170 IO that would run high 50's. And it was heavy. With 2 couples.
I had a friend who had a 21 with a 250 that would run high 70's. And he never even thought about working props.
I'm surprised Randy didn't break 100 if we are talking about a 21 with a 300R. But you have to understand this- he does the prop math in his head and hits Lake A with his best guess. And he's usually right. And most of his new boats he puts less than an hour on. I doubt he tried 5 or 6 props like most of us but I can ask him Friday when I see him.
I'm willing to wager a 21 with a 300R can make 100 mph.\\\/// \\\/// \\\/// \\\/// \\\/// \\\/// \\\/// \\\/// \\\/// \\\/// \\\/// \\\/// \\\/// \\\/// \\\/// \\\/// \\\/// \\\/// \\\///

elevation is around 1700ft. and Im not sure if its the wind resistance of the br that's the issue in this case or what. not my boat so not my story lol. but the LD is typically faster so theres something there.
all I know is a new 2100br with a 300R would be a welcome treat from my 188 spyder with a 225 etec.
