How many think that the big one is going to hit Florida?

I have not really been spooked during recent storms for years until Irma sent a Tornado through my back yard 9-11-17 and flooded my Family's houses. This could be worse than Irma since it is only moving at walking speed.
Prayers for the whole east coast would be appreciated.

It’s stalled because it lost it’s steering flow which is exactly what we wanted (I feel really bad for the Bahamas, it’s tragic for them). This has allowed a trough to drop down from the Midwest which will pull the storm North in a hurry. Expect it to be moving at 15+ MPH as it fly’s past us. It also means it’s turning North in the Bahamas and not in the everglades which would have been Irma all over again.

keeps the realtors busy and in the money. looks like Dorian is leaving us with just some light wind bands and a little rain here and there. Thank-God! But guess what's going on right now? King Tides! Very, very high tides, going over the seawalls and docks in the intracoastal and canals. Its coming up onto a lot of streets through the storm drains with saltwater. Unusual for sure.

When are the "forecasters" going to admit that they should only put out a 48hr forecast for hurricanes. They will not follow the script and do exactly as they say. It fluctuates and one dynamic influences another. Not a perfect science. Their flip flopping caused millions of dollars and people to alter their lives for nothing. The are crying wolf too many times and are losing their credibility.

I've been following both their European and American models. So far they seem to be pretty accurate ...

I did give up after it stalled out over the now Bare-hama's ...

My Yankee wife had only this to say about the whole thing ...

My wife and I getting older ( mid 60’s) 5 years ago moved from the Gulf Coast 150 miles North to avoid the coastal storms , I always pray for these storms to just turn away from heavily populated areas , I’ve lived thru many “killer” storms even Cat 5’s just had enough ... Prayers send to the folks in the Bahamas and the east coast of the US ....

But of course the Media-Trained Scientists can tell us exactly what the temperatures and sea levels will be 25 - 100 years from now...

Our local "chief" weather buffoon is yapping on tv commercials that he predicted the course of the storm correctly when no one else did.
What a load of malarkey. He was saying the same exact thing as everyone else. I didn't fall for any of it. ( originally had it going over my house) Did no prep, bought no supplies. Now the ones that did are returning the goods and the stores are throwing all the food they take back into the garbage. This will only serve to increase prices and no mention of donating any of it to the needy. What a waste!
