Tan/black port temp sensor wire?
I’ve been working on a 92 Bridgeport EFI engine trying to get it to idle smooth,
And there is a black and tan wire coming off of the Portside temperature sensor that goes nowhere… Can someone please tell me where this wire goes… It has a male bullet connector.... thanks in advance! Kerry

Does it tie into the computer? Or wiring harness?

Wire harness, should be a wire same color coming out of the 8 pin connector on the boat side.

Will it help the engine to run leaner at an idle? Thanks

I think maybe the tan/black off port side is a temp sensor that goes to the ecu and tps and the starboard is the temp switch. If I am correct it will make a difference in idle at temp. Your tps could also be causing a rich condition. Set it at .25 volts.

You would think I might have considered that considering I am also old technology.
