    Have to fly into Detroit Metro next month for 5 days. Hope its still warm then. Let me answer my own question. It won't be warm enough.

    7800 with a 31..however fast that is. I don't chase numbers anymore. Whole bunch of pedal left..I was doing the fuel curve to 8k and set the rev limiter there. Ran if for a bit moved limiter up to 9800 and had a slight incident 4th of july off that one came stock 05 xr6 powerhead went back on..got tired of the rev limiter and put on a carbed 225 pm powerhead and am perfectly happy now. I need a nice set of 245 carbs tho.

    Define warm enough?

    In my book, as long as the water isn't frozen and I have a warm place to park the boat, I'm game well into November and early december.
